First of all just wanted to say that age and tiredness caught up wIth me this afternoon and that in EX 2 page 51. the answers should have been as follows
1. more /fewer 2. the most/ the fewest (Countable noun) 3. the most / the least
4. more/ less 5. the most /the least 6. more /less
These are obviously the answers we were looking for !! Remember if there is a THAN then it is a comparative.!

SMALL DIFFERENCES A LITTLE/SLIGHTLY / A BIT

Mike isn’t as old as John. This hotel is as expensive as the one in Oxford.
DIFFERENT FROM THE SAME AS/SIMILAR TO
He’s different from his brother She’s exactly the same as her sister.

Comparing more than 2 things or people
The most + noun
He drinks more beer than Michele.
He drinks the most (beer) in our family.
Negative comparisons the least (U /fewest(C plurals)
He makes the fewest mistakes of all the people in our class.
He has the least time to study!
After use IN or OF
John does the least work in that office.
I write the most emails in my family!
