Type 2(Transitive)Inseparable
(You can’t put the object between the verb and particle.
The particle is a preposition
They looked after the puppy.
They looked after it.
Type 3(Transitive)
Separable
(You can put the object between the verb and particle BUT you only HAVE TO if it is a pronoun)
The particle is an adverb
She sorted the problem out-
She sorted out the problem.
Shesorted it out!

2.PHRASAL VERBS
TYPE 1 (INTRANSITIVE)

(NO DIRECT OBJECT)
THE PARTICLE IS AN ADVERB
Shewent to the window and LOOKED OUT.
TYPE 4
Two inseparable particles
(The verb has two particles , you CAN’T put the object between them!)
I’m LOOKING FORWARD TO going on holiday.
